Home inspection companies often find things that the normal person just doesn’t see or perhaps aren’t looking for. Often people will have a friend or relative check out a home before purchasing, and this is certainly worth doing, but the result can be a missed detail that can cost a lot of money.

For example, the average friend or relative doesn’t have the equipment or expertise to check a furnace, but if there’s a problem you can be stuck with a big bill. Likewise small details that only a trained inspector will pick-up on, roofing condition, drainage problems, structural questions, all of these are areas that one needs to know what their looking for.

A home is a large investment and it’s worth spending a little money to save a lot of money down the road.
